Because we cannot reduce our energy consumption any further, we compensate our emissions by helping a plant in Thailand reduce its emissions.

This plant produces starch and its waste water contains a lot of methane, a greenhouse gas 21 times more harmful than CO2. An installation removes and captures all methane. The methane is burnt in the heating system of the plant. So it prevents the use of heavy oil fuel as well.
